Jozef Havjar
Born in 1956 in Kovačica.
He completed his primary education in Kovačica, and then graduated from a technical high school for mechanical engineering in Pančevo. He was fully employed, but since 2005 he has devoted himself exclusively to his artwork.
His inspiration is the plain in which he was born, the initial phase of his work showed landscapes of the plain, and then he turned to painting animal motifs and started painting cows as his light motif. He is famous for his illustration of winter. He uses drawings and oil on canvas to present genre motif, landscapes, still life and animal motif.
He became a member of the Gallery of Naïve Art in 1998. He lives and works in Kovačica.
